
We would be delighted to show you our alphorn workshop and our unique collection of historic shepherd's instruments and alphorns.
You will learn all about the Swiss national instrument and our alpine herding culture, which consists of more than just fondue and raclette.
A guided tour lasts about 1.5 hours.
Prices for workshop tours
Groups up to 20 people: CHF 250 flat rate
Each additional person: CHF 7
Surcharge on weekends and public holidays: CHF 50 flat rate
Prices for families and individuals on request.
After the guided tours we offer a rich aperitif with products from Tschiemer's mountain farm. Enjoy our wonderful natural products such as alpine and Hobelkäse cheese with fresh farmhouse bread from Marietta's bakery. Served with white wine and non-alcoholic drinks à discretion.
Price: CHF 14 per person
For reasons of space, we cater for groups of 30 people or more on our mountain farm after the tour, depending on the season.
Guided tours can only be organised if booked in advance!
Alphorn courses in Habkern

From spring to autumn, we organise one-day alphorn courses for alphorn enthusiasts and beginners.
On this one-day course you will learn many things about the alphorn - and of course how to teach yourself to play the alphorn properly.
The courses are led by renowned alphorn teachers and take place on Saturdays.

- Theory about blowing and breathing technique
- Transferring breathing technique to playing
- First attempts at playing for beginners
- Proper practice for advanced players
- Rehearsing melodies
Where
Meeting point is the Bernatone alphorn workshop, coffee and getting to know each other from 9 am, course starts at 10.30 am
The course is varied and suitable for beginners and advanced players.
The aim of the course is for the participants to be able to play an alphorn piece together in the evening.

- Lunch and catering CHF 36 per person
- Daily hire of alphorn and mouthpiece CHF 15 per person
